Jesus, Our Merciful High Priest: Hebrews 2:14-18
Do you ever feel alone in your struggles? Hebrews 2 reminds us that Jesus became fully human so He could understand our suffering. He did not remain distant but shared in our weakness, overcoming sin and death to bring us victory. Because of Him, we are never alone in our trials.
The book of Hebrews was written to encourage Jewish believers who were facing persecution and struggling with doubt. The author emphasizes that Jesus, by taking on human nature, became the perfect High Priest. Unlike earthly priests, He fully understands our suffering because He endured it Himself. Through His death, He not only provided atonement for sin but also defeated the power of death, giving us eternal hope.
Application
Lord, thank You for stepping into my struggles and carrying my burdens. You know my pain, and You give me strength. Holy Spirit, help me trust in Your care and extend Your mercy to others.
